This policy explains what Bezalel Instruments, LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use Kinnor, Kinnor Pads, Kinnor Echo and Kinnor Sanctuary (the "software") and our websites bezalelsound.com and licence.bezalelsound.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

In short: the software sends us only what its licence check needs. Your music, audio, presets, set lists and files never leave your computer, and the software contains no advertising and no usage tracking.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

(a) When you activate Kinnor or Kinnor Pads, start or ask for a trial, or when the software checks in to keep its licence current:
- the email address you enter;
- your licence key or trial key;
- a computer identifier: a one-way SHA-512 hash of your computer's device identifier (the identifier itself is never sent and cannot be worked out from the hash);
- your computer's name, as your operating system reports it, so you and we can tell your computers apart;
- the product and its version number;
- the dates and times of activation, trial start and each check-in.

(b) When you ask for a trial key by email, we also keep the request: your email address, the computer identifier and name, the product and version, your IP address, and when you confirmed the link. The IP address is used to limit how many requests one connection can make.

(c) When you sign up for the free Kinnor Effects download: your name, your email address, your organisation if you give it, whether you ticked the box to receive news, your IP address (to limit sign-ups from one connection), and how many times the download link was used.

(d) A log of licence events (activations, check-ins, refusals and our own administrative changes), with the licence key and computer identifier they concern.

(e) When you visit our websites, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when it sends them.

We do not collect your name unless you give it, and we do not collect payment details. If we sell licences in future, the payment provider we use will handle payment details under its own privacy policy, and this policy will be updated before then.

2. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR COMPUTER

The software keeps its settings, presets, set lists, licence file and a log of audio dropouts on your computer only. The tablet remote and the OSC remote control, when you turn them on, talk only to devices on your own network; nothing they carry reaches us.

3. WHY WE USE IT

- To issue, activate, check and renew licences and trials, to enforce the number of computers a key allows and one trial per computer, and to stop misuse (performing our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in protecting the software).
- To send you the emails you ask for: the confirmation link, your trial key and download links.
- To send you occasional news, only if you ticked the box for it (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us).
- To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. WHO PROCESSES IT FOR US

- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts our websites and our licence server, stores the licence database, and sends our emails (Cloudflare Email Service). Its servers are in the United States and other countries.
- Google LLC serves the typefaces our web pages use (Google Fonts).

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer if Bezalel Instruments, LLC or its products are sold, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep licence, activation and trial records for as long as the licence or trial they belong to exists and as long as we need them to enforce one trial per computer, and Effects sign-ups and trial-key requests for as long as we operate those services, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We delete or anonymise records we no longer need. Deleting a trial record lets that computer start a new trial, so we may keep the computer identifier of a used trial even after deleting your email address.

6. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to stop sending you news, or to send you a copy of it. Write to licence@bezalelsound.com from the email address concerned; we will answer within 30 days. Deleting the records of an active licence ends that licence's activations; you can activate again afterwards.

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights under your local law, including the right to object to our processing and to complain to your data protection authority. We will honour them. We do not sell or "share" personal information as California law defines those terms.

7. SECURITY

Licence leases are signed so they cannot be forged, connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS), and the computer identifier is hashed before it leaves your computer. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what we hold.

8. CHILDREN

The software and our websites are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

9. INTERNATIONAL USERS

We are based in the United States. If you use the software or our websites from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States and the other countries where our providers operate.

10. CHANGES

We may update this policy. The current version is at
https://bezalelsound.com/privacy, and we will note the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you by email before it applies.
